Most AI projects don't fail on the technology — they fail on coordination, unclear scope and nobody owning the messy middle. AI Project / Program Coordinator is the person who fixes that. You don't write code; you make sure the right thing gets built, safely, with the right people aligned.
A day in the life
You turn a vague "we should use AI for this" into a scoped pilot with a clear success metric. You run a vendor comparison so the decision isn't made on a sales demo. You flag a GDPR issue before it becomes a problem. You keep the engineers, the legal team and the executives reading from the same page.
Who it suits
You'll do well if you've coordinated projects, stay calm with moving parts, and like being the one who makes things happen. In IE/EU and the UK, your awareness of GDPR and the EU AI Act is a genuine selling point — lean into it.
